1981

Monte di Procida. Mr. Giovanni Romeo purchases the first minibulker M/V MAYA.

1987

Acquisition of first gear-less minibulker M/V LEO 1995 – Nova acquires Sidermar.

1999

Nova sign a new building contract for 8 units with a Dutch Shipyard

2004

Nova Group becomes a “industry focused service provider”. A new strategic partnership with Italcementi begins.

2005

Sider Navi is founded

2008

Lloyd’s Award as “best dry cargo operator” is awarded to Nova.

2009

Nova Marine Carriers is established with headquarters in Lugano

2017

Nova Marine Carriers and Algoma Central Corporation established NovaAlgoma Cement Carriers (NACC) and NovaAlgoma Short-Sea Carriers (NASC)

2017

NovaLevantina is established in Monte Carlo.

2018

NACC acquires 50% shares of JT Cement and join forces with Sirios Shipmanagement

2020

Nova joins forces with Aug Bolten, the German shipowner established almost 240 years ago, and acquires a 50% share of Lydiamar in Athens.

2021

Nova Marine Carriers acquires 50% of Aug Bolten

2023

Nova is expanding in the logistic industry through investments in river barges and infrastructure in and around strategic ports.
