Financial Accountant

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a proactive Financial Accountant to join our office in Geneva.
The person we are looking for has a previous experience in the shipping industry and will be managing specialized maritime accounting tasks, including freight revenue recognition, vessel operating costs (OPEX), charter hire calculations, and demurrage.
They ensure compliance with IFRS/maritime standards, oversee treasury functions, and handle tonnage tax compliance for ship owners and managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maritime Accounting: Managing day-to-day revenue and costs for specific vessels or voyages.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, often with variance analysis.
- Treasury & Cash Management: Handling cash flow, managing foreign exchange risks, and overseeing bank reconciliations.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensuring compliance with international maritime accounting standards and managing tonnage tax or corporate tax.
- Asset Management: Maintaining fixed asset registers (vessel valuation) and handling insurance.
- Auditing: Leading yearly audits and liaising with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Mandatory at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position within the shipping or trading sector
- Knowledge of IFRS, particularly regarding maritime assets and leases.
- Strong analytical skills for cost control and budgeting.
- Understanding of shipping, trade, and chartering terms.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or finance
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus;

Middle Office & Bunker Operations Specialist

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a proactive Middle Office and Bunker Operations Specialist to join our bunker department in Lugano. The ideal candidate will have a background in maritime industry, shipping practice and oil industry.
The Middle Office and Bunker Operations Specialist supports maritime trading and operational activities with a specific focus on bunker operations and hedging strategies. The role acts as a key link between front office, operations, finance, and external counterparties, ensuring accurate execution, reconciliation, and control of financial & physical hedging.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing bunker trading and procurement activities from post-fixture to settlement
- Support the implementation and monitoring of bunker hedging strategies in coordination with the trading desk
- Conduct and support risk control activities, including exposure monitoring and reporting
- Review and validate bunker contracts, confirmations, and delivery documents
- Track and reconcile financial hedging instruments (e.g. swaps, futures, options) linked to bunker exposure
- Monitor price exposure and hedge effectiveness, producing periodic risk and P&L reports
- Cooperate with operations and finance departments to ensure integrity with internal procedures and maritime regulations
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures and systems and market regulations
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Maritime Studies, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in middle office, operations, or bunker-related roles within the maritime/shipping sector
- Good understanding of bunker markets, price formation, and basic hedging instruments
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, structured, and risk-aware mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Strong communication and coordination skills

Siamo alla ricerca di un Contabile esperto da inserire nel nostro team amministrativo. Il candidato ideale ha una solida esperienza in contabilità generale ed analitica, preferibilmente in contesti multinazionali o nel settore marittimo, ed è motivato a contribuire attivamente alla crescita dell’azienda.
Requisiti:
- Esperienza consolidata nella gestione della contabilità generale fino alla chiusura del bilancio;
- Almeno 7-8 anni di esperienza nel ruolo di contabile generale ed analitico;
- Ottima conoscenza dell’inglese, sia parlato che scritto;
- Preferibile conoscenza di SAGE X3.
Responsabilità principali:
Perimetro: attività di contabilità generale e analitica relative alla gestione commerciale di navi di trasporto merce sfuso al livello internazionale
Contabilità Generale:
- Contabilizzazione dei costi di struttura e spese finanziarie, inclusi guarantee fees, interessi su prestiti bancari, management fees, commissioni broker, ecc. – ;
- Stanziamenti di fine periodo per competenza e relativi pareggi/storni;
- Chiusura mensile, trimestrale e annuale di bilancio;
- Riconciliazione delle schede contabili incluso partitario;
- Lancio di risconti/ratei mensili (simulato e/o definitivo);
- Controllo del calcolo delle differenze cambio su base chiusura mensile;
- Verifiche mensili di congruità di chiusura (cut-off ricavi/costi di viaggio, ammortamento, ecc.).
Contabilità Analitica:
- Calcolo mensile dei consumi di oli/bunker e controlli inventario;
- Controllo e monitoraggio dei P/L di viaggio (controllo dati in provenienza sistema operativo ed allineamento con il sistema contabile).
Attività trasversali:
- Dichiarazioni IVA per Svizzera e supervisione per uffici satellite Malta, Regno Unito, Paesi Bassi, ..);
- Gestione della corrispondenza e-mail generale;
- Risoluzione di problemi legati al gestionale contabile SAGE X3 (apertura ticket con supporto IT);
- Creazione e modifiche del setup del gestionale SAGE X3 (nuove società, conti generali, conti bancari, ecc.).

We are looking for a proactive Shipping Legal Specialist to join our legal department in Lugano. The ideal candidate will have a background in maritime law, shipping practice, with good expertise in managing disputes and claims arising under charterparties, bills of lading, laytime, demurrage, and other related shipping contractual matters.
Experience in the shipping, maritime, or logistics sector represents a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle legal and commercial disputes related to Charterparties, Bill of Lading, laytime and demurrage, cargo claims.
- Provide post-fixture assistance and support to chartering and operations teams.
- Review, draft and negotiate shipping contracts and related documentation.
- Manage and coordinate claims handling, including claim preparation, assessment, negotiation, and settlement.
- Oversee credit recovery processes and pursue outstanding receivables.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, P&I Clubs, brokers, and clients as necessary.
- Monitor contractual compliance and mitigate potential risks in chartering and post-fixture activities.
Requirements:
- Mandatory at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position within the shipping or maritime legal sector;
- Good knowledge of maritime law and chartering practices;
- Good contract review and drafting skills;
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus;
- Highly analytical perspective, strong computer literacy, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment;
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach with the ability to work in a team under supervision of the General Counsel.
